Driving Directions:  Take I-75 to exit #26.  As soon as you get to the stop sign off the exit, turn left and then almost immediately you will make another left onto Carleton-Rockwood Road.  Follow Carleton-Rockwood Road for about 3/4 of a mile.  You'll go through two curves as you can see on the map.  As soon as you finish the second curve you'll see Armstrong Road.  Make a right hand turn onto Armstrong.  Drive about 1/2 mile.   The address is 13305 Armstrong and is on the left hand side of the road.  The driveway is about 1/5 of a mile long.  You'll notice a railroad tie fence that sits about 40 yards off the road on the left hand side.  That's the place! There is also a 2 story yellow house on the right hand side of the road.  It's driveway is directly across the road from our driveway.  If you are arriving after dark, please turn your parking lights on just before you get to the curve in the driveway (about 3/10 of a mile up the drive).  If this is your first time coming out for a view please don't make the trip and then chicken out at the last moment.  We see many cars stop at the end of the driveway, sit for a few minutes and then drive away.  Make the drive up the drive way!!!  We will be there!  You'll also see the telescope set up.

We set up before dark so we can get the mirrors collimated.  If you are setting up, you are welcome to come before dark to set up.  You do not have to show up before dark although it would be fun to get to know everyone before dark.  I'd suggest bringing a chair so you will be comfortable.  Stay as long as you'd like.   You are welcome to sit around and share your stories with the rest of the viewers until you tire out for the night.  We do have bonfires occasionally.  If it gets chilly you can even request that we build a bonfire.  Send us a line using our feedback forms.

We do provide a bathroom if there is a need.

See you after dusk!
